Thank You for Reading THG

Description

I started THG back in the fall of 2013. Back then, I had had this idea for a comic since the beginning of freshman year. I was excited at the chance to make it into a real comic. It’s been a lot of work and I have enjoyed it over the years. Senior year has been a big year of evaluating my life and deciding what I want. I have made some decisions that were not easy at all. After wanting to study childhood education and development ever since middle school, I officially changed my major to psychology because I realized that I felt much more fulfillment from helping others learn about themselves than helping others learn about mathematics or history.

At the start of THG, I told myself I was going to be the one to finish this project. I saw different, very successful comics rise and fall and I didn’t want to be one of them. But, if I keep going at the pace I am going for THG, I’ll finish the series in about five to ten years. I initially had around 20 chapters planned for the series. I’ve realized that I still enjoy making comics, but I want to move on to different stories and undertake projects that don’t require a decade and a half to make. I’d like to do some shorter comics so I can keep trying out new ideas. So, as for THG, I’m cutting it off short. Chapter 9 of The Heroes’ Guild is the last installment of the comic series.

I’ll do my best to finish the chapter as I have the comic pages already made. The reason why it’s been taking a while is because I’ve been missing the next page and I couldn’t look for it because the page was in Illinois whereas I was in Indiana for college. Well, fortunately, I found it. So, my goal is to get it scanned and spruced up before I head back to school. Then, I’ll fill in with the rest of the pages, finish Chapter 9, and then I’ll be done. I am still keeping the possibility of a written form in mind. I have grown to love these characters and I had many more adventures planned for them. If I wrote them out instead of drawing them, I could take the adventure in more directions than I had planned because I’m not limited to how much I can draw. If not, I’ll post the scripts I have used to make the comics which holds all the dialogue and some notes on what the picture would look like. I believe I have up to Chapter 15 of those.

As for artwork moving forward, I still want to make comics. They would simply be shorter tales that I can make multiple of. I also want to focus on commission artwork. I’ve done some work in the past for different clients and was very happy to find out that there are people who like my products and will pay me for it. I will also be continuing on the Poking Fun at Ponies series since it’s very quick to make and fun for me.

So, that’s about the gist of things. Thank you all for your support of The Heroes Guild and I hope that you’ll stick around for the other things that I create. I promise you that I will do my best.
